11.09.09 - Hurricane Ida is downgraded to a Tropical Storm as it weakens over the Gulf of Mexico. Heavy rains and high wind gusts are expected from Louisiana to the Florida panhandle today, spreading inland across Alabama, central and northern Georgia, and into South Carolina. Flash flood watches are in effect across Georgia and western South Carolina.

08.19.09 — Hurricane Bill strengthens to Category 4 Hurricane packing winds of 143 mph with wind gusts to 178 mph. Bill's current forecasted track is to continue tracking to the Northeast, sparing the East Coast from a direct hit.
