Delightful spring weather will spread across the majority of the U.S. as the work week comes to a close. Meanwhile, the Mid-Atlantic will see a few afternoon spring showers.
WeatherBug Meteorologist Bryan Karrick has the latest in this exclusive WeatherBug National Outlook video.
Disorderly spring weather in the Mid-Atlantic will encourage residents to keep their umbrellas and rain gear nearby today. A line of showers associated with a front extending from the southern New England coast to the Mid-Mississippi Valley will assure a wet day for much of the Mid-Atlantic and Ohio Valley. Echoes of thunder rumbling through the central Mid-Atlantic will be a possibility as thunderstorms develop along the front. Temperatures will range from the 60s along the coastal Northeast and in the Ohio Valley to the 70s in the Mid-Atlantic.
Blue skies and abundant sunshine will reign supreme across the remainder of the Northern Tier. Cooler highs in the 50s will extend along the interior Northeast, Great Lakes, Upper Midwest and Pacific Northwest while temperatures rise into the 60s in the Northern Plains, Northern Rockies and Northern Great Basin.
Exceptional outdoor weather will be commonplace in the Central and Southern Tiers of the U.S. Highs in the 70s will be felt in the interior Southeast, Central Plains, West Coast and Lower Mississippi Valley while toasty temperatures in the 80s and 90s sizzle in the Southern Plains and Southwest.
