Latest on the Plains Tornado Outbreak

A massive, devastating, tornado outbreak continues across the Plains, with a deadly tornado slamming Moore, Okla., this afternoon. Here is some of the latest information on the outbreak and the Moore tornado:
A tornado ripped through Moore, Okla., just before 3 p.m. CDT. It has been preliminarily rated as an EF-4 tornado, with winds of up to 200 mph.
The death toll is confirmed to be 51 people so far. A search is ongoing to find those still missing, and is expected to continue throughout the night and well into Tuesday.
Sixteen possible tornadoes have been reported from Texas to Missouri.
Softball sized hail has been reported in Bigheart, Okla., with baseball sized hail in Yukon, Okla.
Pittsburg, Kan., reported 75 mph winds, knocking down trees. Wapanucka, Okla., recorded an 80 mph gust, as did Eureka Springs, Ark.
This is the third day of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes across the Plains. At least 1 person was killed in Shawnee, Okla., on Sunday when a tornado tore through a mobile home park.
