Do your joints ache when the weather gets stormy? Are you looking for a place where the weather is sunny and comfortable most of the time? Here are a few places in the U.S. to consider for your next pain-free vacation, and possibly that permanent relocation.

  • Honolulu -- Mild temperatures and consistent pressure values year-round help keep arthritis at bay. Offers plenty of sunshine, with frequent afternoon showers for variety.
  • San Diego -- Features a very dry climate, with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures throughout the year.
  • Redwood City, Calif. -- Low humidity, comfortable temperatures, and plenty of sunshine will have you flocking to this Pacific Coast gem of a city.
  • Reno, Nev. -- Plenty of sunshine, with very low humidity. Beautiful Lake Tahoe and mountain ski resorts beckon nearby.
  • Laguna Beach, Calif. -- Warm and sunny most of the year, with warmer ocean water temperatures than other California beaches.
  • Sedona, Ariz. -- Sedona offers the dry and sunny climate of Phoenix, but with cooler temperatures.
  • Tampa, Fla. -- Comfortably warm temperatures make this a popular retirement destination. Avoid the summer humidity and tropical storms by visiting from October to May.
  • San Francisco -- Features mild temperatures throughout the year with dry summers. Some folks might not like the frequent morning fog.
  • Miami -- Is the perfect spot for a winter vacation, but the summer humidity and vulnerability to hurricanes may scare off some.
  • Aspen, Colo. -- If you're looking for a summer villa, Aspen offers pleasant temperatures. If you love snow, what better place than this ski resort town?
