WeatherBug Network

Keeping a Local Eye on the Weather.

WeatherBug is the largest weather network in the world. More than 8,000 schools and businesses across the U.S. operate WeatherBug Tracking Stations to integrate live, local weather data and technology into classroom training through WeatherBug Achieve or to learn about live, local weather conditions across the region through WeatherBug Professional Streamer.

Meteorologists at more than 100 television stations rely on WeatherBug's up-to-the-second data to deliver the most reliable local weather forecasts to their collective broadcast audience – 80 million households strong. Every day, millions of people use WeatherBug, the Web's largest news and information site, to take a real-time look at weather conditions in their own backyard – or anywhere across the country.

WeatherBug's importance as a local weather data source was recently acknowledged through our partnership with the National Weather Service (NWS), the Homeland Security WeatherBug Network. This new initiative enables the NWS to immediately access and distribute live WeatherBug data to government agencies, the military and emergency managers in response to Homeland Security incidents or natural disasters.
