Leopard Landing Page
Welcome to the Leopard! Leopard is a Windows computer programming language and tool that enables students of all ages to develop their own desktop software in an easy and fun way. The partnership between WeatherBug and Leopard means that teachers and students now have exciting new ways to use and visualize the weather data that WeatherBug provides, and your students will also learn how to program in the process!
You'll quickly find that Leopard is a very versatile tool, and it can complement many different aspects of your curriculum by encouraging interactivity, collaboration, content creation, and data analysis.
The Leopard Web site contains more information about the product, and once you download it, you'll want to refer to the User Guide to learn about what Leopard is capable of and how to use it.
The lesson plans that are now available will give you some great WeatherBug projects to get started with. Each lesson plan contains files for the lesson that includes the final program file and any other required resources (sounds, images, etc.). Before you get started with each lesson, download all the files needed for each lessons to the main folder where Leopard resides on your computer. This is the folder from where you execute Leopard.exe.
These resources are intended to be a starting point, so once you get started and feel more comfortable with Leopard, please feel free to completely modify the lessons by adding controls, changing things, and moving elements around. This is your tool, so use it to do whatever you want.
We'd love to feature your student's original programs on our Leopard Library page, and if you create your own Leopard lesson plans, then please submit them to us as well, and we just might feature them right here!

Note: All of the resource files need to be in the Leopard folder; this includes images, sounds, etc. When Leopard needs to use them, it opens them by default from the main Leopard folder. Once the resource files are in this folder and you enter the program code file from the lesson to the Leopard folder, the program will open through Leopard.
Have fun!
