T.S. Ida Near Hurricane Strength, Headed For Gulf

Tropical Storm Ida, which roared ashore over east-central Nicaragua Thursday morning as a Category 1 hurricane, is back near hurricane strength as it churns across the northern Caribbean Sea. It will continue to slowly re-strengthen this weekend as it heads for the central Gulf of Mexico. It poses no threat to the U.S. mainland through the weekend, but may impact portions of the Gulf Coast early this week.…FULL STORY
