e5 Uses Weather Data To Save You Money Everyday

e5 uses data from your thermostat and smart meter (if you have one) and real-time weather conditions from the Earth Networks WeatherBug Network -- the world`s largest neighborhood-level weather network, with more than 10,000 stations -- to develop a thermal model of your house and how it responds to varying weather conditions.

Using the model, e5 then sends optimized set points to your thermostat every day based on the predicted weather for the day, the thermal properties of your home, and your selected comfort ranges. The result is lower electric bills and reduced strain on the grid without sacrificing home comfort.
