The cold front has moved into the Florida straits with a fresh northwest breeze pushing cooler and drier air into the central peninsula. Skies will be mostly sunny this afternoon...sustained winds between 15 to 20 mph with gusts between 25 and 30 mph will generate rough conditions on area lakes. A lake wind advisory is in effect for all of east central Florida through 6 PM this evening. Temperatures will turn much colder after Sunset as the northwest winds tap an arctic airmass moving into the deep south. Readings are expected to fall to near freezing along and north of the I-4 corridor and into the mid to upper 30s elsewhere. Winds between 10 and 15 mph over the interior and 15 to 20 mph near the coast will generate wind chill readings ranging from the low 20s north of I-4 to the low to mid 30s along the space and Treasure Coasts.
