New WeatherBug Mobile Application Available on BlackBerry App World

WeatherBug's Free Application for the BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Bold Smartphone Includes GPS-enabled Weather Alerts, and Detailed Radar and Maps

Germantown, Md. — WeatherBug^®a leading provider of live, local weather information for consumers and professional users, is thrilled with the response to the launch of its new mobile application for the BlackBerry^® Storm™ and BlackBerry^® Bold™ smartphones on BlackBerry App World™. Available for free, WeatherBug's ad-supported application quickly exceeded expectations of downloads from BlackBerry App World and is currently among the most popular downloads.

The WeatherBug application for the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Storm smartphones includes:

• 7-day and hourly forecasts;
• Detailed radar and maps;
• Daily National Weather Outlook broadcasts provided by WeatherBug meteorologists; and
• Time-lapse animations from more than 2,000 weather cameras in the U.S.

Customers using the WeatherBug application on the BlackBerry Storm and BlackBerry Bold smartphones will also receive "always on" National Weather Service alerts with GPS capabilities, live temperature conditions on their home screen, and neighborhood weather information from more than 45,000 locations worldwide.

WeatherBug also integrates maps, enabling BlackBerry smartphone customers to check the weather of any city or area on the map by simply clicking on it. Additionally, customers can set-up new locations by pulling the address information from their BlackBerry^® Address Book. They can also share current weather information, forecasts, alerts and camera views with others.

WeatherBug's new application for BlackBerry smartphones is ad-supported with an ad banner at the top of each page.
