West Coast Account Executive

We are seeking an Account Executive in Southern California. A successful candidate will have experience in the areas of Auto, Entertainment, Mobile and Client Direct.

Responsibilities include:

• Prospect, sell, develop, and expand client base for WeatherBug’s online properties.
• Maintain and grow existing relationships and penetrate undeveloped relationships, categories or territories.
• Work with direct clients and agency contacts to develop and sell integrated program and sponsorships
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals
• Provide timely reports, forecasts, account information and competitive

Qualifications:

• Candidate will have demonstrated experience in prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales.
• Candidate will have demonstrated a track record for strategic, consultative selling with direct client and agency contacts.
• Candidate will be skilled in envisioning big ideas, then executing on advertising programs that attract strategic customers and generate significant revenue.
• Candidate will have an in-depth understanding of online advertising, knowledge of multiple categories, and the desire to stay informed about industry trends.
• Candidate will be expected to participate in client functions, industry events and professional associations.
• Candidate will have existing relationships with the regions’ leading online direct clients and agencies
• Must be able to evangelize on-line medium and WeatherBug brand
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
• Must have creative, compelling and persuasive presentation skills, and flourish in negotiations. Computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel are required.
• Must possess sound business judgment
