Rob Eicher
Internet Broadcast Meteorologist
Rob Eicher joined the WeatherBug team in October 2009 as an Internet Broadcast
Meteorologist. He believes "forecasting the weather is like trying to predict the
future. It’s always a challenge and a never-ending learning experience."
Prior to joining WeatherBug, Eicher held broadcast meteorologist positions at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD, Central Florida News 13 in Orlando, FL and WKMG-TV in Orlando Florida. His work at WKMG-TV in the summer of 2008 earned him the Florida Society of Professional Journalists 2008 Award for Excellence in Weather Reporting. Eicher has also taught meteorology courses to students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL.
Eicher graduated with an Honor’s Citation from the University of Maryland earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and a Master of Science Degree in Meteorology. During his free time, Eicher enjoys anything outdoors and classic cars.
