San Antonio Weather Info

Despite being situated quite a distance from the Texas coast, San Antonio weather can be largely influenced by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Severe thunderstorms are not uncommon during the spring time with cool dry air from the north, clashing with warm moist gulf air from the southeast.

Although San Antonio weather is some of the warmest in the country on average, it too is susceptible to wintry weather. In January of 2007, a rare ice storm struck much of the southern U.S., including San Antonio, causing nearby highways and airports to be shut down.
