Patches of light snow or sleet are expected to move across the region through early evening. Precipitation amounts will be very light with little or no additional accumulation expected. Otherwise...it will be very cold with temperatures remaining below freezing across all but the area southeast of a Canton to Cameron line. Wind chill readings will be in the teens and 20s this afternoon. In areas where ice is on the roadways...little if any improvement is expected...so these roads will remain icy and dangerous. If you must drive across areas with icy roads...be prepared. Make sure that you have a winter storm survival kit with things such as blankets...a flash light...and extra food and water just in case you get stuck. A shovel and some Sand or kitty litter may help if you get stranded.
