Patches of freezing drizzle will move across the region east of a line from Dallas to Lampasas tonight. A light glazing of ice may occur making travel hazardous in spots. Otherwise...it remain very cold with temperatures mostly in the 20s. Wind chill readings will be in the teens and 20s. In areas where ice is on the roadways...little if any improvement is expected...so these roads will remain icy and dangerous. Travel is strongly discouraged along and northwest of a Goldthwaite to Dallas to Bonham line. If you must drive across or into areas with icy roads...be prepared. Make sure that you have a winter storm survival kit with things such as blankets...a flash light...and extra food and water just in case you get stuck. A shovel and some Sand or kitty litter may help if you get stranded.
