A cold front continues to move southeast across north Texas. At 5 PM the front was located near a line from Goldthwaite to Waco to Emory. North of the front temperatures had cooled into the 30s and 40s with gusty north winds. South of the front breezy...mild conditions continued under mostly cloudy skies. Showers continued across the area...with widespread light rain in northwest counties and scattered showers elsewhere. Expect rain to increase this evening into the overnight hours as an upper disturbance pushes east northeast into the area. Isolated embedded thunderstorms are also possible overnight. Rain amounts will increase...with areas in the northeast seeing as much as three to Four inches by Saturday morning. Most of north Texas will see over an inch of rain from this event.

Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph becoming north 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 30 percent.
