Austin weather can best be described as hot and humid. From June to September, daily high temperatures average 90 degrees or warmer, frequently reaching the century mark.
Another major aspect of Austin weather is the severe thunderstorms which can affect the area. Lying just south of Tornado Alley, strong tornadic thunderstorms are not uncommon occurrences, particularly in the spring. These storms are also known to produce very large damaging hail.
