Philadelphia Weather Info
Philadelphia weather consists of a little bit of everything: hot and humid summers, and cold and stormy winters. Severe thunderstorms can affect the city every so often throughout the summer months while nor’easters can dump heavy amounts of snow during the winter.
Though Philadelphia often lies on the rain/snow line for many snowstorms, in extreme events the city will get all snow -- and lots of it. Such was the case with the blizzard of 1996. Shortly after the storm, warmer weather helped to quickly melt the record setting 30 inches of snow which fell, showing just how diverse Philadelphia weather can be.
