At 8:58 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect areas of light freezing rain spreading across much of northeast Oklahoma and extreme northwest Arkansas...mainly along and northwest of a line from Bentonville to Okemah. Widely scattered light rain showers were also occurring across southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas...where temperatures remain above freezing. Minimal amounts of ice accumulation on elevated surfaces has been reported to the National Weather Service across much of the affected area. Through 10:00 PM...freezing drizzle or light freezing rain will continue across much of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas...with light rain persisting over southeast Oklahoma. Precipitation amounts will range from between a trace...to a few hundredths of an inch per hour. The freezing precipitation will continue to accumulate on elevated surfaces...such as trees...cars...along with overpasses and bridges. Use extra caution if out driving this evening.
