At 2:55 AM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect a large area of light to moderate rain covering much of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas...generally north of a McAlester to Poteau line. Heavier rain was concentrated over northwest Arkansas and far northeast Oklahoma...generally north of U.S. Highway 412 and east of U.S. Highway 75. Only a few light rain showers were occurring across southeast Oklahoma. In addition to the rain...a cold front was moving across northeast Oklahoma with north winds gusting to near 40 mph across Osage and Pawnee counties. Through 4:00 AM...widespread rain with isolated thunderstorms will continue mainly north of Interstate 40. Hourly rainfall amounts of a few hundredths to near a half inch will be possible...with locally higher amounts of a half inch to near one inch capable within the stronger showers and isolated embedded thunderstorms. Gusty north winds will continue to spread across far northeast Oklahoma with temperatures quickly falling into
