At 11:12 AM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated a complex of showers and thunderstorms continuing to shift eastward across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. The leading edge of this activity extended from near Walnut Hill to Mulberry to Nashoba. Movement was toward the southeast at around 20 mph. Through 12:30 PM...showers and thunderstorms will continue to Advance eastward...increasing in coverage over northwest Arkansas and southeast Oklahoma. Average hourly rainfall for most locations will vary from one tenth to one quarter inch. Locally higher amounts of over one half inch will be possible with the stronger showers and any thunderstorms that occur. Brief gusty winds of 30 to 40 mph may also accompany thunderstorms. The slow movement of the precipitation may also lead to localized flooding for some areas.
