At 8:19 PM...National Weather Service Doppler radars indicated scattered showers and thunderstorms ongoing across far eastern Oklahoma and west-central Arkansas. General movement remains toward the southeast at around 20 mph...while the entire area dives south. Through 9:45 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue for far eastern Oklahoma...mainly along and east of a Claremore to Bengal line. This activity will also persist for southern Crawford...Sebastian and Franklin counties in west-central Arkansas. Periods of light to moderate rainfall will be common for most locations...where average hourly rainfall will vary from a tenth to one quarter inch. Locally heavy downpours will be possible as well...with hourly amounts in excess of one inch. The stronger storms will remain capable of producing gusty winds and large hail. Frequent lightning has also been common with this activity.
