At 7 PM...scattered showers and thunderstorms continued to develop over the eastern Texas panhandle. These showers and storms were moving very slowly toward the east. Isolated showers were also over north-central Oklahoma near Ponca City and Kaw Lake...moving east at about 30 mph. The storms over Texas are expected to eventually merge into a large storm cluster and move east into Oklahoma. There is still some uncertainty regarding the timing and location of this storm cluster...but it is most likely to affect northwest Oklahoma by 10 PM...and central and north central Oklahoma around midnight.
Mostly cloudy with thunderstorms likely in the evening...then partly cloudy with chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Some thunderstorms may be severe in the evening. Lows in the upper 60s. South winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light and variable. Chance of thunderstorms 60 percent.
