At 5:50 PM...National Weather Service radars detected scattered light rain ongoing across parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. At times the light rain has mixed with or briefly changed over to light sleet and light snow. This activity continues to lift northeast at around 35 mph. Areal coverage continues to gradually decrease over northeast Oklahoma. Through 7:30 PM...occasional light rain will remain possible for parts of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Locations primarily along and north of Interstate 40...and east of highway 69 will have the higher chances of being affected during this time. A secondary area of light rain will also continue across parts of far southeast Oklahoma...south of an Ashland to Heavener line. The light rain may mix with light sleet and light snow at times over far northeast Oklahoma and the northwest corner of Arkansas. Average hourly rainfall of less than one tenth of an inch will remain common...with only trace amounts to a light dusting of snow.
