Through 2 AM...strong and possibly damaging wind gusts will be seen behind a gust front across much of central and southern Oklahoma... And western north Texas. This gust front will be well ahead of any thunderstorm activity. Many locations will see the wind gusts but not any rain. This will be most pronounced over southwest Oklahoma and western north Texas. Most wind gusts will average 40 mph to 50 mph...but some locations will see winds peak at 55 mph to 65 mph. As far as the storms go...with heavy rain and small hail...they will be most numerous north and east of Oklahoma City. Additional storms that will be more scattered in nature will be possible across northwest Oklahoma as a cold front enters the state. They will be capable of very heavy rain and small hail through 2 AM near Buffalo and Laverne...down to Woodward and Arnett.
