At 8:30 AM...National Weather Service Doppler radars continued to detect a line of showers and thunderstorms...extending from near Ashland...east toward Bloomer...south of highway 40. Additional light rain with isolated thunderstorms was also affecting locations across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. All this activity was moving toward the east...around 30 miles an hour. Through 9:30 AM...showers and thunderstorms will continue to spread east across the area. The stronger storms will remain along and south of highway 40. The stronger storms will likely produce heavy rainfall...intense lightning...and gusty winds. Flooding is also becoming a threat...as storms continue to train across the same areas just south of highway 40.
