Light freezing rain persists over parts of northeast Oklahoma...where the freezing line has shown little to no movement. The precipitation continues to move off to the northeast at around 25 mph. Through 3:00 PM...widespread rains will continue for eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas. Light freezing rain will remain possible for locations roughly along and north of the Interstate 44 corridor. An isolated thunderstorm or two cannot be ruled out for southeast Oklahoma into western Arkansas. Precipitation amounts of around one tenth of an inch per hour will be common...with locally higher amounts of one quarter to one half inch possible. Where freezing rain persists...ice will continue to accumulate on elevated surfaces...such as trees...cars...along with overpasses and bridges. Power outages are also likely to increase as a result of falling tree limbs and excess weight on
