Outlook

The quantity of pollen grains in the air for Thursday will be higher than they were today but will stay in the very low range. Since the weather has a major influence on pollen dispersal, this increase is due in part to drier air.

Today

Based on past pollen counts and expected weather conditions, pollen levels for Wednesday will be falling into the extremely low range. This relief in pollen levels is caused in part by falling temperatures, rising humidity, and expected precipitation in the morning and afternoon which tends to wash pollen out of the air.

A large nationwide study found that a person's educational background seems to be related to their risk for allergies. Twenty-six percent of people with more than 12 years of education tested positive during allergy screening compared to only 13% of people with less than nine years of education.
