Scattered light showers will continue tracking north and east over central and western New Mexico early this morning. As temperatures cool...expect some precipitation to switch from rain to snow at the highest elevations of the central and northern mountains. However... Precipitation amounts will generally be less than a tenth of an inch. Some showers may produce variable gusty winds up to 40 mph...very localized areas of blowing dust...and an occasional lightning strike or two. Through 3am...these short lived showers will impact the central and upper portions of the Rio Grande valley including Albuquerque...Santa Fe...Cuba...and much of the northern and western high terrain.
