As a strong back Door cold front slams into northeast New Mexico this afternoon...showers will increase from the east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains eastward to the Oklahoma and Texas State Lines. Precipitation amounts will be minimal through 4 PM. However...the abrupt increase in winds with the front will result in areas of blowing dust. Visibility will likely be reduced below 1 mile...especially around Clayton and Nara Visa. Additionally...any shower activity may locally enhance wind speeds. If travelling...and visibility in blowing dust becomes too low to continue...remember to pull completely off the road for your safety and the safety of those around you.
