Through the first half of the evening scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to develop and move through the region. The precipitation is not moving quickly and any showers or thunderstorms that do occur, will produce some locally heavy downpours. Rainfall amounts of over an inch per hour occurred earlier in Somerset and Middlesex counties. The greatest concentration should be across the Philadelphia northern suburbs into central New Jersey. There is another more concentrated area of showers and thunderstorms over southern Virginia that might work its way into the delmarva region later this evening. Through 9 PM temperatures should be mainly in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
