The line of strong to severe thunderstorms has weakened...however heavy showers with embedded thunderstorms will continue into the early overnight hours. Precipitation should begin to wind down over the Rockford area around midnight and the Chicago area between 200 AM and 400 AM cdt. Even though the threat for severe weather will continue to diminish overnight...there remains a threat for locally heavy rainfall and flooding...especially in areas that saw heavy rainfall Saturday morning.
