Atlanta weather consists of hot summers and mild winters. Even in the dead of winter, high temperatures still average in the 50’s. During the summertime, temperatures often climb well into the 80’s and on rare occasions can approach the century mark.
Like most Southeastern U.S. cities, Atlanta weather consists of a decent amount of rainfall throughout the year; the city averages about 50 inches of rain annually. Winter storms occasionally cause light snowfall accumulations, but nothing major.
