Weekend Forecast

Pierson, FL 32180

Tonight

7/12/2014

Now

A collision of the east and west coast sea breezes along with other outflow boundaries will occur across Lake County and the west side of the I-4 corridor and Orlando metro by late this afternoon. A few strong to severe storms will be possible when this collision occurs...producing frequent to excessive lightning strikes...hail... And wind gusts in excess of 50 mph. In addition...the slow movement of storms will allow for locally heavy rainfall to lead to ponding of water on roadways and possible minor flooding of low lying areas. This will be especially true in locations which saw heavy rainfall over the past few days. Lingering isolated showers and storms across the remainder of the region will continue to diminish.

Lo: 72°

Considerable cloudiness becoming partly cloudy after midnight. A chance of showers and thunderstorms before Sunset... Then a slight chance of evening showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the mid 70s. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
