Patchy dense fog reducing visibilities to 1/4 of a mile or less continues to develop over coastal and inland areas of northwest Florida and southwest Alabama. Patchy dense fog will continue to develop and spread further inland over southwest Alabama and southeast Mississippi later tonight. Visibilities of one mile of less will also be possible over some inland waterways...bays and sounds later tonight. If driving in dense fog...slow down...use low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you. Mariners along the immediate coastal sections...including area bays and sounds and intra coastal waterways...should invoke low visibility procedures prescribed by coast guard regulations. Inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions. If operating in dense fog conditions keep a watchful eye out for other vessels.
